The CX333 is evolution of the cycling shoe, with comfort, performance and style in perfect harmony. We’ve used over 40 years of experience to bring you the best technologies, such as a Carbitex Omniflex arch support panel, and a heat moldable internal Thermaform Carbon Fibre heel counter, to give you the most secure fit possible. We believe that we’ve achieved the impossible, by wrapping your feet in a performance oriented second-skin, whilst giving you breathability alongside our legendary Lake cycling comfort.
CX/TX Race Last - Featuring a slightly narrower toe box and a tighter heel, with a firmer grip than the Lake Competition last, and less overall volume than our Sport last. Designed for very high-cadence riding, with a slimmer and stylish performance fit.
Outsole - Inclusive of our Lake Race 100% Carbon Fibre Sole for super stiffness and performance. Available in a 3-hole cleat pattern, the CX333 utilises Lake’s patent double sole system. The inner sole is a semi-flexible fibreglass platform, that allows the foot to have ample flexibility at the ball of the foot where the swelling can be prominent, and typically hot spots or numbness would occur. The inner sole is then suspended over the outer rigid carbon sole. This unique system enables us to use an extremely stiff carbon outsole, without sacrificing riding comfort, giving you the ultimate balance of performance and endurance.
Upper - The CX333 comes with a choice of uppers. You can have either Klite Kangaroo leather with a supreme quality leather lining, or Clarino Microfibre upper with Outlast temperature regulating lining. A Carbitex Omniflex arch support panel and a heat moldable internal Thermaform Carbon Fibre heel counter provide you with the most secure fit possible.
Closure - BOA® Fit System Li2 dials. The Li2 dial is the most advanced platform in cycling, offering a precise, micro-adjustable fit in both directions and designed to resist abrasion. Additionally, the plush leather tongue provides a comforting barrier against the secure grip of the BOA® closure system.

MX Comfort Plus Last - Featuring an all-new Comfort Plus Last with a wider toe box and a unique construction that offers a light weight and extremely breathable shoe, with a generous forefoot platform that accommodates a multitude of foot shapes. The Comfort Plus Last does exactly as you’d expect, providing you with a perfect balance between cycling performance requirements and all-day riding comfort, along with the ability to hike-a-bike in comfort.
Outsole - We understand that stability and security are critical for off-road adventure cycling. The MX201 Flat has a comfortable Real Rubber and EVA Enduro Sole, with a semi-rigid Nylon midsole. There’s often a balance required between biking and hike-a-bike when taking to the trails, and the MX201 is designed to give you that necessary stability on all types of mixed terrain.
Upper - The MX201 has a rugged and tough Clarino Microfibre & NuFoam mesh upper, perfect for off-road adventures. The form fitting and durable microfibre and mesh upper also comes with a comfortable and secure BOA® closure system, and Tectuff Microfibre Toe protection, to take those unexpected knocks on technical terrain. We know how important it is to have the right closure system – especially for technical off-road terrain, where security and stability is critical. The MX239 mountain biking shoe is the latest version of one of our all-time favourite mountain biking shoes, for riders hitting the remote and technical trails. This evolution of our legendary MX238 is updated to include an integrated tongue to the medial panel of the upper for a firmer foot hold, ensuring that power is maximised into forward momentum through improved stability – a vital ingredient on loose and technical terrain.
The MX239 MTB shoe comes with a new fibreglass reinforced internal heel counter, creating a more stable heel hold, and has more spacing between the two BOA® dials to give greater zone adjustment to the forefoot area. The Helcor Abrasion resistant leather is specifically designed to be extremely durable against rubbing, scrapes, and scuffing. The Clarino Microfibre is super tough and resilient to the arduous wear and tear of long rides on all types of terrain, maintaining its shape and stability, while being lighter than full-grain leather and more durable at thinner gauges.
